The sweeping drive that leads to the properties has the feel of days gone by, and thanks to their setting tucked into the landscape of the estate they’re perfect for family time away from it all. With bright, spacious designs inside and plenty of space to enjoy the fresh air outside, the cottages welcome dogs too, so they’re popular with walkers keen to enjoy the South Hams with their pet in tow.
When evening falls, you’ll hear nothing but the sounds of owls, and as you enjoy your days on the estate there’s every chance you’ll spot rabbits and pheasants! The properties share communal grounds, and each one has its own outside seating so you can feed the family al fresco during the summer. And if you book all three together, you’ll be able to enjoy your own privacy yet still be close to your friends and family.
You’ll find the popular surfing beach of Bantham within easy reach by car, and if you’re something of an Agatha Christie fan you can take the sea tractor over to Burgh Island and enjoy the views from one of Devon’s most iconic landmarks. Just a mile away, the historic market town of Kingsbridge has a friendly atmosphere, and life revolves on the estuary so you’ll see locals gliding by on their SUP boards!
The Courtlands Collection consists of three separate properties (Woodcock Cottage ref BCCMWOO, Partridge ref BCCMPAR and Quail Cottage ref BCCMQUA) which can be booked together to accommodate up to 14 guests.
