We had a lovely stay at ‘The Cottage’ Owner Colin was very helpful and met us on arrival to show us around. Extra touches were appreciated - welcome basket, tea/coffee etc. The cottage was immaculate with everything you could need for a stay. Great central location for exploring area. We would definitely recommend to others! 🙂

We had a very pleasant time at "The Cottage" in weeks 35 & 36. Colin was extremely helpful and friendly. In fact so many of the local people were very friendly and chatty that we think they must put something special in the water in Thanet. A good plus point was that there are two bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet. A suggestion from our side would be to provide a bit more cutlery, but this wasn't a major issue. The reason we have given an 8 for Location is nothing to do with the accommodation as such, it is just that there is a bit of a traffic bottleneck just before the church driving out of St Peter's. Maybe the council should install a traffic light to regulate this better? Local amenities are good. We can recommend Walmer, Deal, Sandwich, Dover Castle and Canterbury in particular. All in all, a very nice holiday.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped, very comfortable beds, and very quiet. About half an hour to walk to the beach, no problems, it means that you get a good night's sleep. But do need to take into account a bit of uphill walking on the way back. Buses do run frequently. Lovely place to stay would definitely stay again.

A lovely cottage, everything required for a good break is there. A quite location and parking is easy. Only slight downside is that it's just over a one mile walk from the sea front. But that's not a big problem.

Lovely cottage, and the welcome pack was great.Beds were comfy, everything you need to make a good stay.Owner very friendly & helpful.Only comment would be the temperature on the heating was set so that it would not come till it reached that temperature & l felt chilly some evenings, l understand why they do this so its not on all the time. But some people fill the cold more then others. So it never came on once the four days we were there. And would be handy to have some instructions for tv, oven and heating as we have all got different kinds, could not find any. We did light the woodburner which was lovely for down stairs.

Brilliantly furnished characterful cottage. Really comfortable and clean and great shower. It was lovely to arrive to a welcome basket and lots of leaflets about the local area. Would highly recommend.
