The outside grounds very untidy. The heating system very noisy through the night. The seating in the lounge very uncomfortable.

The cottage is an old rustic property with very few modern conveniences we weren’t looking for anything modern or surgically clean because of our 2 dogs. It met our expectations perfectly & totally satisfied us all !! Would highly recommend but one draw back is gardens are not secure at all for dogs!

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback and your kind comments, and glad you enjoyed your stay. The back garden is secure for dogs as a wooden gate has been placed at the side of the cottage.

Delightful. Very near St Cyrus National Nature Reserve and Montrose Basin, both great for wildlife.

We enjoyed our break. Will definitely go back next year. Great proximity to coast and access to inland. A private located cottage which is well equipped and furnished well with mod cons while keeping the history intact. It feels like it is a lived in place which we liked and felt immediately at home, especially in the sunroom. I loved the garden. My type of place..wild and hope to see it in the spring and summer. Local in, St Cyrus very welcoming and good food..

St Cyrus is a friendly little village and set in attractive countryside. The Village Inn is welcoming and serves good food. There is a small shop in the village which also provides a P.O. service. The nearby nature reserve is well worth visiting and the beach is superb. Make sure your fuel tank is full as the nearest filling station is in Montrose (10kms).
