On the first level is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, and family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Up a further level is the master bedroom with a super kingsize bed or twin bed if requested. The property is extremely well-maintained and homely.
The property is in The Courtyard with allocated parking for two vehicles, outdoor seating, and a BBQ. The Courtyard is a perfect location to watch the resident white doves and nesting barn swallows who visit the farm every April to September. To the front is a fully enclosed field that is popular with families and dogs. Here you will find a children’s play area with swings, a climbing frame, trampoline, and sports pitch, a dog exercise area, a ‘chill out zone’ with tree swing and bench seating, and an in-ground fire pit should you wish to spend an evening around a crackling fire, sharing stories or toasting marshmallows. Elsewhere on-site you can meet some of the resident farm animals including miniature pigs, sheep, goats, hens, and ducks. All of these are pets, there to enhance the visitor experience. The latter also provides excellent free-range eggs!
Locally are an abundance of nature reserves and other places rich in nature to explore. RSPB Leighton Moss is no more than a five-minute drive from the property. During your stay, you might also visit sites managed by The National Trust or Wildlife Trust, and Lake Windermere is a thirty-minute drive away. For those with children, there is The Wildlife Oasis, World of Beatrix Potter, and White Scar Caves at Ingleton. Morecambe, Lancaster, and Kendal are all within a 30-minute drive and also worth visiting.
