So we arrived and Julie was very abrupt with us, the fire alarm kept going off and when we mentioned it, got quizzed if we had burnt anything, we had only been in the cottage 10 minutes max. Geoff, Julie's husband was very helpful in sorting this out. The house was very cold when we got there so we put the heating on which was then turned down when Julie was trying to figure out what was wrong with the fire alarms after looking at the boiler. The freezer wasn't empty we found when putting items away and Julie wasn't bothered and made a under breath comment about it not being the end of the world, no apology that it hadn't been cleaned since god knows when as it had ice build up. There was stuff left out from cleaning, mop, bucket, sweeping brush etc so we had to find somewhere to put them, also ironing board, child seat, were left out that we had to put away ourselves. There were hair slides on the floor of the bedroom that didn't belong to us. The hottub had too many chemicals and left a residue on swimwear, it was on a hard gravelly walk around the side of the property, no notice to tell us we would need footwear to get to this, there was no light outside and it definitely was lacking privacy, no hooks where you could hang the towels outside for the hot tub, The bathroom had an overwhelming smell of damp. There were towels provided, but not enough or big enough, they were more like hand towels. There should be out door and indoor towls. The window locks were loose, so it wasn't easy to open and close windows. Overall experience was very disappointing, we felt that we were an inconvenience, we were that disappointed with the whole trip we left a day/night early.

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in the coach house. It was the perfect get away for our family. We received the warmest of welcomes on arrival which set the tone for the entire stay. The cottage itself was well presented, clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for a self catered stay. Despite being on a working farm, the cottage offered a peaceful and relaxing stay. It really offered the perfect location for us, short drive to the coast and also snowdonia. There I so much to see and do around here We will be returning.
