Great cottage, immaculate condition and living, kitchen and bathroom area fabulous! Would be great if they could squeeze in a king sized bed (maybe just putting bedside tables right up to wall or smaller tables) as it’s quite small for a couple

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Hi Chris, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. As regards squeezing in a king-sized bed, the holiday company insists on a certain amount of clearance on either side, which means that there isn’t room for anything larger than a double. Sorry.

We loved this cosy barn. It was so peaceful and we saw so much wildlife just sitting outside in the sun! The kitchen was well equipped with really lovely cups and plates - you could see that thought and care had gone into the choices. It was nice to see that the single room was as pleasant as the double (which is not usually the case). It was in a great location for visiting all the places in Suffolk we wanted to see. A fabulous place!

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your kind comments. I’m glad you liked the crockery Brixton Pottery.

Very clean well equipped cottage on the inside. A little tired on the outside.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Hello Linda, thank you for your comments. I must admit that the paintwork on the door and windows does need freshening up. We did so much work on the interiors in the spring that the exteriors got a bit neglected. Since then I’ve managed to do some painting, but there is still work to do. The next time it’s free is mid-October, so, as long as the weathers good, Ill tackle it then.

We love this cottage. We will definitely stay here again. It is in a perfect quiet location for walks in the area. Our only comment would be , that the fuel charge for winter months should be included in booking price, not paid at cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thanks, Lesley. The reason that we have stuck with the Winter charge for heating is that, if we were to include it in the overall price, it would mean that it would be applied across the whole of the Winter Period, from September onward, and often the weather is warm enough not to need heating during much of that time. In that case we waive the charge. I still think that it is the fairest way to cover our costs although, to be honest, it doesn’t, but I do appreciate that not everyone notices it in the property description, so it can come as a surprise. We will keep it under review.
