We stayed in the Carriage for a week in November, as a complete break away from our busy working lives. The owner gave us a great first impression, as he shown us around and explained the few hints and tips, making life in a railway carriage easier. Great central location, we used it as a base to travel, and visited Castle Douglas, Wigtown, Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Gretna Green. Some great dog friendly eateries in the nearby towns, and we found that most places were both welcoming and dog friendly. We found the carriage was a really cozy, and well fitted out place to spend the evening. Very warm, and good beds, fast wi fi and 4G, and good size smart TV with all the usual apps, netflix etc. We will definitely stay again, as we still have more to see.

Loved staying in the Carriage. Very well designed and equipped. As well as warm and cosy. Good location too. Was ideal place for my friend and I, along with my Labrador.
