On the ground floor there is a spacious living/dining room with an open fire and a second living room, giving guests a spacious home for all to enjoy whether curling up with a book in front of the fire or everyone relaxing together to plan the next day’s adventure. The spacious kitchen with breakfasting area is well equipped for preparing a celebration meal and there is also a handy utility room. There is a family shower room and three beautifully presented bedrooms, one of which is en-suite. There are three further double bedrooms on the first floor all with an individual en-suite to complete the picture. Step outside into the well-kept garden with a hot tub and private parking for up to 6 cars! There is plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.

You may not want to venture out from The Bield, but there is so much to discover and there is no need to use the car. There are many beautiful walks surrounding The Bield, just get your boots on and head straight out the front door. For adventurous cyclists, Sustrans Cycle Route 7, a challenging long-distance route from Sunderland to Inverness, passes nearby with breathtaking views of forests, hills and lochs. Just a 5-minute drive from The Bield, you’ll find the gently rolling tracks around the picturesque Loch Ard which are made for exploring by bike or on foot, with sculpture trails and play features to find. Makes a great fun day for all the family with woodland and water-loving wildlife along the way to look out for.
Take a cruise on the steamship ’Sir Walter Scott’ on Loch Katrine, one of Scotland’s iconic lochs offering fabulous views best seen from the water. You can take your own bikes or hire bikes from The Pier, board the boat and disembark from Stronachlacher, 13 miles down the loch. Absolutely lovely house which really suited our needs as a place to celebrate for the weekend. We were 13 people and managed to all fit round one table which was ideal. The house has every bit of equipment for catering you could need and the check in process could not have been simpler. Easy communication throughout and would recommend to by one looking for a homely and relaxing house in a beautiful area for a weekend. Stunning garden with hot tub really added to the enjoyment especially as it rained all weekend so an undercover hot tub worked very well .

Absolutely lovely house, delightful and patient house owner, spotlessly clean on arrival, all mod cons, comfy beds, lovely hot tub and outdoor seating arrangements. Every single member of my party just loved it and we had an absolute ball thank you! (One small note you might want to address, when the decking is wet with rain it's very slippy, my friend and I were serving dinner we both slipped and fell, apart from that it was a brilliant house x)
