The Barn is just the absolute best ‘cottage’ we have stayed in. I booked it on the strength of the photos and previous reviews but they just don’t do it justice. The weather was not particularly good but that was great as it meant we could enjoy The Barn for even more chilling and relaxing. Superb accommodation and stunning location. The lovely owners go the extra mile to ensure we had an excellent holiday.

A beautiful barn conversion extremely clean and comfortable with every amenity you could ask for. Beautiful surroundings easily accessible to the Lake District, Eden Valley and Northumberland.

Lovely place to stay. Pro's are the gorgeous grounds and easy to live amenities in the property, eg: dishwasher, machine machine, tumble dryer. Con's are that that the double bed couldn't be two singles so one son slept on the sofa, the kitchen area is a little dark for my liking and the location for the Lakes is a long drive. However there are lots of things to see locally. Talkin Tarn was lovely to run round and Hadrians Wall is up the road - the North Pennines is nearby.

The 'Barn' had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and very clean. The spectacular garden with a stream and waterfall had lots of seating areas to make full use of the sun. A great welcome pack was provided on arrival, very much appreciated. The balcony was a great place to have our breakfast.

It was lovely to be back at the Barn! We've been trying to get back there since our first visit last Easter but its been hard to find a week when its free. Tess and Alex are always welcoming and its such a relaxing, pampered break. Can't wait to go back.
