With its quiet position in a secluded cul-de-sac, and lawned garden with a decked terrace, Tegen really is the perfect choice for a quiet holiday. This detached bungalow is just a short stroll from the village pub and restaurant, and an award-winning butchers, as well as the wide expanse of Par Beach.

The town is a network of narrow lanes with local galleries, bakers and plenty of craft and gift shops.
The ever popular Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and Lostwithiel, an ancient town and home to Cornwall’s antiques markets, are within a short drive, making this area a must for staying and seeing. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tegen. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable. All amenities were in perfect working order and very useful to have washer, dishwasher etc. As we had two 12 year old boys, the location probably wasn't to their full appreciation as very quiet but we as adults, really loved it. Would highly recommend this cottage.

lovely modern cottage all on one level and two bathrooms. The kitchen is good, but needs more cooking pots, pans and bowls. Location is great, the village is delightful and the nearby shops and pubs are top rate.

This will be our 2nd time staying at tegen and it was as good as the first time. It’s such a lovely place and so welcoming . Our dogs love the morning and evening walks on the beach .

As the cottage is located in a small cul-de-sac, it feels private and quiet and there is parking for two cars. The cottage is only a couple of years old, so is very modern, with the rooms being of a good size and very light. The kitchen has everything you could need including separate fridge and freezer and dishwasher. The bathroom has a good double shower (over bath) and the enclosed garden has a gas barbecue and garden furniture on the decking for warmer days. We found milk, biscuits, tea bags, coffee and sugar waiting for us, which was really helpful. There is a village pub, only a couple of minutes walk away, along with a small shop (open every day), butchers and chip shop (Tuesday to Sunday Evenings) and where is a good feel to the village and the people seem friendly. We took our collie, but we could only find one grass area, to walk him in the village, as there is a small children's playing area in a side street only about a five minute walk from the cottage (this was useful early morning and late evenings). But we were able to take our dog on Par Beach (you need to pay for parking) and there is a wetlands park (with duck pond and grass area), within 10 minutes drive. The location of Tegen is really good if you wish to visit Fowey, Mevagissey, Charlestown Bodmin or the eden project as they are all within 40 minutes drive away. There are large supermarkets in Bodmin and St Austell, if you need them. We only had one issue, during our stay - as we found that the wifi never had enough signal and the TV would go funny at times, so we missed parts of TV programmes. But on the plus side, we had no problems using our mobile phones, while we were in the cottage and this is normally an issue in Cornwall.

Beautiful place to stay. Best bungalow I’ve ever stayed in with cottages for you. Big , clean, and modern. Pub less than 1min from bungalow and all Cornish coast is only step away. Will be back for sure.

We had a lovely fortnight at Tegen!! We were so pleased with the accommodation, it was clean, spacious and comfortable, a real home from home! We liked that you could walk to the local amenities and there were lots of interesting places to explore in a close vicinity. It was an added bonus that the garden was fully enclosed as we took our dog with us. It was obvious to see the owners had put a lot of thought into everything, it really was perfect and we would highly recommend staying there.
