This holiday property is located just 1 mile away from Embleton Bay on the stunning Heritage Coast.

Set in the centre of Embleton, this stone-built, terraced holiday cottage is ideally located for exploring the magnificent Heritage Coast. Embleton Bay was once voted the most romantic bay in the north and this small village with pubs, village shop and children’s play park, is near some fantastic tourist spots. Craster is steeped in tradition and centred on the ‘picture-postcard’ harbour, where visitors should try the smoked Craster Kippers from the smokery (one of the oldest in England) or the local pub. The coastal path from the harbour along to Dunstanborough Castle is one of the prettiest walks in the county. Alnwick with its majestic castle and gardens, cobbled streets and abundance of eateries and pubs is 8 miles away and Seahouses, where boat trips to the Farne Islands and fabulous fish and chips can be enjoyed, just 7 miles away. Rothbury and Cragside Hall are just 19 miles away, and Holy Island is 26 miles (remember to check the tide times for crossing the causeway). Beach 1 mile. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with wooden floor. Separate toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Electric pebble-effect fire in living room included. Gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. Freeview TV. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Wi-fi. Doggy extras. Enclosed front sitting-out area. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.

Local amenities are “not a lot”, but that is what we wanted, Alnwick is not far away, 2 small shops, petrol and pub. Teal Cottage was fine, as always. Our 5th stay, may be 6th!

Had another wonderful stay at Teal Cottage. Fab location, cosy and comfortable interior and somewhere I would stay again in a heartbeat. Close to some amazing walks, the brilliant local The Grays Inn and a scenic stroll to The Ship Inn at Low Newton.

Lovely cottage in a great location in lovely Embleton. So well equipped! Very dog friendly (throws, towels, biscuits thankyou!) but you wouldn’t know it if you didn’t have a dog- very clean & well maintained. Thanks for the biscuits (& sharp knives, chopping boards, plenty of teabags, dishwasher tablets & washing liquid- I got a load done before we left!) Will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage in a great location to drive to must see places. We booked the cottage for a return trip in May 2019 before we left there.

The location was great we were at a wedding at Newton Hall so perfect we only stayed two nights The cottage itself was all what we needed for four adults spacious and clean everything we needed for our stay The village small and lovely but all you needed shop, pub etc the beach not far away Just a few minor things but very small .... a mirror would be good in the double room and darker curtains or blinds as it is very light in rooms early mornings but apart from that all was good and would return in the future Thank you for a lovely stay

Great accommodation. comfortable and good location. Only criticisms would be dog hair on sofa, very slippy rug on laminate flooring in sitting room and wobbly toilet seat.
