As I had just had a knee replacement the space surrounding the bed was difficult for me to use. Otherwise everything OK.

Swallow's Barn was wonderfully set up and the owners were extremely considerate and helpful. We were staying with a ten-year-old and a 1-year-old and the amenities and setting were everything we could have asked for.

We thoroughly enjoyed a fortnight's stay in this lovely converted barn, located within the grounds of the very helpful owners' property. Although in a beautiful quiet location, the cottage is centrally situated in East Sussex, within easy reach of the historic towns, coastal scenery and heritage properties dotted around East Sussex and the adjacent Kent border country. An added bonus is the excellent views over the surrounding countryside from the cottage and a range of friendly animals in the fields and enclosures surrounding the property.

Wonderful location. Very helpful and friendly owner. Lovely gifts on arrival, especially the lemon drizzle cake ! Enjoyed seeing and feeding all the animals. Cottage very clean and everything you need in a holiday cottage. The outside seating areas overlooking the countryside were outstanding. Only one very small criticism and that is that some of the chairs in the cottage weren't terribly comfortable. It didn't affect our holiday though as we had glorious weather and were outside most of the time.

Wonderful accommodation in every way. From the warm, friendly greeting to our regret at leaving - we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Swallows Barn is well equipped and spotlessly clean, and is located in a delightful part of the East Sussex countryside. The charm is enhanced by the friendly goats (we loved Gemma), the ponies and the comical pigs. Not forgetting the many pheasants that amused us too! Cynthia is the best of hosts - charming as well as a superb cook. Her kindness in making a gluten free chocolate cake for us was only surpassed by our delight in eating it. 10 out of 10 for that cake! (Not forgetting the other goodies - the apple juice, eggs and marmalade). And a choice of two delightful, outside seating areas to enjoy a cafetiere of coffee ... perfect. Thank you for making our stay truly memorable.

We really enjoyed the location and views from the balcony and patio. The owners were very kind and responded immediately to any need. The bedrooms are small but that encourages you to be tidy! Plenty of parking space and outdoor sitting areas were lovely.
