A fantastic host, unique and tranquil setting with pigs, goats and miniature horses on your doorstep. A unique and enjoyable experience. This cottage is of a high quality and in a very quiet location, some 15 minutes from Battle.

We had a lovely week staying in this perfect barn in a beautiful location. We had a wonderful collection of food goodies waiting for us on arrival including fresh eggs and homemade brownies. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and kindly let the children help with feeding the animals, which the children loved. We did something different everyday and had to travel no more than 30 mins to get to places. We would love to go back to Swallows Barn another time and thoroughly recommend it.

we have had a very pleasant stay here. Especially the garden with the animals and the surrounding nature are perfect for a quiet stay in the English countryside. Definitely need a car, no local shops within walking distance. Very friendly owners, respecting you privacy. One thing: if you are really tall, the beds might turn out too small.

Lovely barn in idyllic rural location. The property was spotlessly clean, attractive & well-equipped. The bedrooms are not large but perfectly serviceable. We particularly enjoyed the balcony outside the sitting room/kitchen which overlooks the friendly goats & small lake. The garden is very well fenced for dogs or small children & has a good seating area. The walks from the barn are excellent & peaceful and the helpful owners are on hand next door should you need anything. They generously provided a welcome pack with their own eggs & homemade apple juice & cakes. We would definitely return on another occasion.
