This cottage was perfect for us, it's quite remote, setting is just amazing. Very well equipped kitchen, loved that the bedrooms were downstairs, very cool ( we were there during recent heatwave). Parking is ideal, no worries there. Lounge area only had one sofa, which looked like it had seen better days, there was also two wing chairs, which went with vibe of the cottage. All in all, we definitely really enjoyed our stay and we will most definitely will return, soo peaceful, just perfect !

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful, remote village in Arkengarthdale. Everything you need in the cottage - a wonderfully equipped kitchen/ living room with great views across to the fells. Only negative was the access drive down a very muddy and rutted path.

My partner, dog and I have stayed in this cottage twice so that tells you something straight away. The upstairs living area is spacious & the kitchen was good before it was renovated so it’s even better now, post-reno. Particularly enjoyed the coffee percolator. The whole place is clean & tidy. Location & views are divine, loads of walks and cycling straight from the cottage. Great local pub too - we’re foodies from a big city where good food is plentiful and the pub really did do fabulous, quality food. Some great eateries in Reeth too. Two things I have thought need improving both times I’ve stayed there though are the sofa in the living room & the double bed. The sofa is an old two seater - worn, a bit grubby and the cushions don’t provide much padding between you & the frame anymore. The double bed could really do with being a King Size - my partner and I are both around 5’8” and we felt it was too small even for us to share comfortably, exacerbated by the fact that the frame has an end so you can’t really even hang your feet over the edge of the bed if you’re tall. Can’t comment on the single beds as we’ve not used them either time, however they also have footends so again… probably not comfy for adults.
