The reason I have not given it 10 for many areas is because of its location on a busy road which has to be crossed to where the car has to be parked

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage. Unfortunately the weather was not too good, being misty/foggy throughout our stay but the cosy coal fire was very relaxing and warming after our excursions out into the damp. The car parking spot was very handy and the shower room in the annex was a real novelty. The neighbours were very friendly and welcoming and always ready with advice.

Sunnyside cottage was a lovely well equipped cottage. Our stay was comfortable and the cottage was in a beautiful place. It was a bit near the road looking out of the kitchen, but not a problem. The only concern we had was the parking. The road was quite busy at times and unloading the car ment we had to carry bags, shopping and luggage. Ok for adults but would have found this a problem if there had been children. Our stay was also made special with the lovely neighbour next door. Just myself and my husband for a quiet week break. Well done Sunnyside

Lovely quaint and cosy cottage, missing it already! A retreat for a week. Would be even better with onsite parking and a pub within walking distance with wider pavements, but you can't have everything! The dryer didn't work but that can be rectified, and not instant hot water, but can work round it and was well worth it for everything else. Sandsend is beautiful, gorgeous beach you can see from the cottage, and Whitby close by with lots of gorgeous shops and things to see and do, and eat! Steampunk weekend when we went, and loved goth influence too. Easy to self cater with supermarkets close by.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for taking the time to write this review. Fortunately, the across road parking is easy. Sorry that you did not find the village pub ‘The Hart Inn’ with a garden an 8 minute walk away by East Row Beck or the Beach Hotel 5 minutes nearer. If you want to avoid the small stretch of narrow pavements you can take a slightly longer, pretty walk through ‘The Valley’. As soon as the broken dryer was reported on Friday we ordered a new one which is now installed. Hot water is set on a timer for twice a day and this can be changed on arrival. Yes, Sandsend is beautiful and plenty to do in the area.
