Wroxham, the ’Capital of the Broads’, can be reached within a 10-minute drive, with its riverside cafés, restaurants, shops and train station. The area is criss-crossed with numerous footpaths and cycling trails, or for those keen walkers, explore the 56-mile Weavers’ Way while it winds its way through some of the best parts of the Broads. National Trust properties, including Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Horsey Windpump, and many RSPB nature reserves are all within easy reach. BeWILDerwood, an adventure park with treehouses, zip wires and jungle walks, is a short drive away. Alternatively, for excellent shopping, markets, museums, cafés, pubs, restaurants, theatre and much more, the city of Norwich is just 30 minutes’ away. Golf can be found at Sprowston Manor, 6 miles.     Beautiful house,lovely location, good food available nearby,(walking distance) we had 4 generations in our family and everyone had a great time, went for long weekend,would love to go for longer stay next time.

    The property is definitely WOW! Unfortunately after settling in to start our holiday we started to find that the property was not clean, mostly in the kitchen. The dishwasher was dirty, smelt & still had pots in it.The microwave had grease/sticky splashes & smelt. The freezer was full with someone else's food so we couldn't use that at all. There was dirty cutlery & utensils in the kitchen drawer which we had to wash before we could use. Due to this we ending up washing all the pots, pans, glasses, cups, cutlery & utensils just to be sure they were clean before we used them. There was bits of popcorn under the coffee table in the lounge & under the cinema chairs. There was a very dirty towel left in one of my son's bedroom. There was a lot of dirty between the settees. The shower in our en-suite had limescale on it & white streaks down it. The top floor bathroom has a beautiful wooden floor & on our first night my wife & I were preparing to have a bath together where upon I noticed marks on the floor, drip splashes leading to the toilet & what looked like a coffee ring? Needless to said our bath was cut short & we had to clean the bathroom floor which made us feel quite sick. I do understand that other families & dogs have stayed in this property before us but it was not cleaned properly especially the kitchen area it did make me & my family feel uncomfortable for the whole holiday wondering what else wasn't clean?

    Response on behalf of the owner; We are so pleased you found the house has the wow factor, thank you it certainly is a special unique property. With regards to the issues you are saying you found, I'm really sorry you felt the cleaning wasn’t satisfactory. However we do not understand why you never brought any of this to our attention while you were at the property, as we could have rectified this straight away. You were given my phone number on the booking, also on our House notice board it clearly states if you have any problems to please get in touch immediately and gives the cleaners/managers numbers. Any maintenance / cleaning or general needs are always taken seriously and dealt with promptly and professionally by the management team, this is to allow you to get on and enjoy your holiday at our wonderful property. Alternatively you could have contacted the booking agent and they could have passed the message onto us immediately too, and the matter would have been dealt with promptly. We have never had any problems with the cleaning/cleaning company before. I have spoken to the management and cleaners and we will be looking into the points raised to ensure that the property is always cleaned to the high standard we have always been used to. Also extra checks will be put in place to ensure this continues. Thank you for your feedback.

    Quite simply, a stunning property in a tremendous location. Never before felt as disappointed to leave a holiday home, which says everything! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again.

    We had a fantastic week here. The house is spectacular with plenty of space for us all. It attracted a lot of admiring glances from passers by. Lots of bathrooms plus cinema, electronic dart board, pool table and football table. Very comfortable and felt like a very luxurious stay. Close to the Bure river with the local pub a stones throw away. Very helpful and friendly owner. Highly recommended.

    We loved everything about this house. Beautiful view across the broads 2 pubs very close by. The house itself is stunning and exceeded all expectations. All the bedrooms are furnished to a high standard the bathrooms are plentiful and high spec. The open plan eating and living space is ideal to all be together whilst cooking and the outside space perfect for children to run around safely. All enclosed so safe for kids and dogs. The cinema room was our sons favourite place, spoilt for choice with pool, netflix, PlayStation or bar football! It was a perfect base to explore the broads and we found some lovely places. We can't wait to visit again.
