Lovely setting and garden, but the house was just not warm enough. The electric heaters were not powerful enough to heat the building, especially in the bathroom.

The Summer House is an ideal place to stay if you are wanting to get away from it all and have a relaxing break. It is an easy place to get to and is slightly hidden away so is in an idyllic setting for peaceful holiday. The surroundings around the Summer House give a very tranquil feel and the views are wonderful. It has everything that you would expect to have in a small accommodation. There are limited close amenities, however St Asaph is only a short drive or cycle ride away.

Beautiful location, the cottage and grounds were lovely with the hot tub being the icing on the cake!

Lovely get-away-from-it-all location. Great having the hot-tub, especially after our walk up (and back down!) Snowdon. Tweedmill shopping complex was just about within walking distance, but, other than the nice little 9-hole golf course, the other shops, restaurants and pubs were a short drive away.

Lovely stay peace and quiet with beautiful countryside. The gardens were wonderful with horses sheep owls squirrels and many other wildlife. The summer house was perfect everything we needed great hot tub and we were lucky with the weather so sat in the tub watching the stars. What could be better. We went to great eateries around from pubs with hearty food to fine dining in Ruthin. Our host was both friendly and helpful. Great week we love to go again.

This is a real find. We did not know what to expect but were pleased with the location, weather above all the amount of space we had to enjoy the views and play football, badminton etc without worrying about disturbing anyone nearby. The hot tub was a real bonus at the end of the day. If you are looking for a modern place to stay this is not for you but it has a well equipped kitchen, small bedrooms but we only went there to sleep so that was no problem and a living room with a small and games and enough chairs for us to relax. My only quibble is that although the bathroom is large and well set out the shower cubicle is on the small side. We certainly had a relaxing time and will definitely return.

Our first family holiday in over 10 years where we actually felt we'd had a holiday! With 2 boys; one with ASC and another with additional needs and a 17 month old. It's hard to please everyone and relax but that's exactly what we did. The only draw back is no Wi-Fi and bath but if prepared you can get passed it.

Summer House is a pretty cottage in a beautiful location. It is however, a quite small, glorified outbuilding, albeit with a through kitchen-lounge-diner, two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The old swimming pool / pond has seen better days and needs some refurbishment but was nice to view from the summer house on rainy days. The addition of a hot tub is a great idea and was lovely to use but just needs some additional wind protection around it as it could get quite cold when using. Inside the summer house has most items you would need including: drying racks, pegs, hairdryer, laundry basket, vacuum cleaner, sponge, cloth and bedding, as well as towels (not mentioned in the particulars which meant we took up valuable space in the car with our own). The summer house uses pay-as-you-go electric heating which was quite old and again needed updating but as we went in April we expected that we may need to heat it occasionally when we weren't out and about. It didn't take very long for it to warm up but drying towels, etc took a while. Be prepared to take plenty of pound coins. We spent about £5 a day - mainly to dry items. It did mean the air was constantly quite damp and we all had a moment when we felt quite chesty. If visiting in the summer and therefore drier weather, this shouldn't be an issue. Wifi was non-existent and we were advised we may be able to get the internet if standing by the sink in the kitchen (sadly this didn't work) but we managed by using our own mobile phone data. If you don't want connecting to the virtual world then this is the place for you! The owners were on hand but not at all intrusive and very kindly prepared a welcome pack of essentials like coffee, sugar, jam, welsh tea cakes and rather nicely two Easter eggs for my teenage sons. We enjoyed our stay, mainly for its location and ease of access and found we were out and about more than in the cottage, despite the typical welsh weather. Overall, we would possibly stay again but would definitely prefer to in warmer weather.

Great time at the cottage. Only downside to it at all was it was quite cold and the electric heaters ate theough the money quite quickly so we ended uo topping the meter up quite a bit, apart from that though ,The hot tub was great the grounds are fantastic and the cottage has everything you could need and more. Sian left us to own own devices all stay but was only a telephone call away if anything was to go wrong. Great hosts
