Very nice cottage in a very nice spot, but the furniture could do with upgrading.

Loved this place. The views are stunning. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Very friendly without being intrusive. Adored the lambs that were in the field next to the Cottage. Despite the not so good weather we had a lovely time.

Nice wee rustic place in gorgeous countryside. Couple of things could do with a wee upgrade but didn't make our stay less enjoyable. The sofa was not very comfy and the shower screen seal was coming away. Put this down to us visiting late in the Season. we knew there would be poor internet but that was a bonus. The area is stunningly beautiful.

The cottage was in need of updating and sprucing up. The furniture was in desperate need of replacement, both sofas were broken and the coffee table was just fit for the fire. One of the chairs in the kitchen was a death trap. The setting was fantastic and the hosts, really friendly, but I wouldn't stay there again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your kind comments and for bringing these concerns to my attention as I take the comfort, and particularly, the health and safety of my guests very seriously. I have removed the kitchen chair to have it fixed, but would hope that in the future, guests would feel able to tell me these things during their stay so I can deal with them immediately. I do admit that the arm of one of the settees is a bit lumpy after a previous guest stood on it, but it is still a comfy place to sit and to be used as a bed. After examination, I cannot see how the other settee is broken. The IKEA coffee table has lost some of its veneer due to guests putting their feet up on it; hot drinks etc, but I will now try and get a replacement table that will take some punishment at a price in keeping with a 3 star holiday cottage.
