The setting of this cottage was idyllic in a secluded valley. Ideal for walkers and dog walking with tracks immediately outside the door. As we have 3 dogs it was ideal. However it would have been nice to have a small enclosed area outside the cottage to contain your dog. Places to visit: we visited Bute for the day, a long day trip to Campbeltown to visit the whisky distillery and ferry home from Tarbet, local forestry commission walks. We brought our EE mobile Wi-fi which picked up a signal and worked in the cottage. G3 and Sometimes G4 work in the sitting room. The local Jet garage has a well stocked shop, the Wee Butcher is worth a visit. There is a Morrison’s in Dunoon and Co-op on Bute (as with all islands along the west coast). Wildlife: red squirrels, deer and the sounds of the stags were rutting could be heard, deer, seals seen at the sea lochs. This was a very late booking and one of those rare small cottages that take owners with their 3 dogs.
