York is just over an hour’s drive, as is the Lake District. The spa town of Harrogate is a ½-hour drive, and will satisfy the most ardent of shoppers; whilst there take time to have afternoon tea at Betty’s tea room. A beautiful cottage set in a brilliant location. Spacious and well equipped and the added bonus of a Hot Tub was excellent. Cottage was ready when we arrived and Geri (the owner) had left a lovely cake as a welcome for us and was available to show us round. She was always friendly and available for local advice and was happy for us to have fresh eggs from her chickens at the top of the garden. The cottage was only a short walk to the local Farm Food market and into Skipton itself. It also had the benefit of only being a very short drive into the Yorkshire Dales themselves and there were numerous truly stunning locations and walks etc within 30 minutes driving. Would definitely use again and recommend.

Fantastic location sadly let down by poor attention to detail. Minor improvements would make a fantastic cottage. Poor access to outside area, previous customer comments not addressed as cobwebs still apparent. Only one set of towels provided customers should be advised to bring their own for hot tub use.
