Washing machine. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Enclosed courtyard. Priavte parking for 1 car. Welcome pack. No smoking.

This lovely ground floor conversion of a Grade II listed, former station master’s house provides an amazing location for the perfect Yorkshire coastal holiday. The station was designed by Rawlins Gould and opened on the 28th March 1864, closing 100 years later, on 19th October 1964, following the Beeching cuts. The property has been tastefully restored and enjoys some sea views from both bedrooms, and the twin bedroom has a 24" Freeview TV and DVD player. The sandy beaches are about 200 yards away, and there is a boat compound with launching facilities for boats, ribs and jetskis giving access to the sea. It is centrally located in the unspoilt seaside town of Hornsea, known as ’Lakeland by the Sea’, due to the presence in the town of Yorkshire’s largest natural freshwater lake, Hornsea Mere. Not only is the property close to the beach and promenade with its cafés and fish and chip shops, but it is also a short level stroll from the heritage town centre with its museum, shops, restaurants, cafés, bars and public parks, making it an ideal base for those wanting to relax and enjoy the area. Within just a few hundred yards of Station House you will find an indoor soft play facility and Hornsea’s main leisure centre, which offers an indoor heated swimming pool, gym, café and other facilities. Hornsea is also the finishing point for the Trans Pennine Way; from your doorstep you can cycle or walk through the town and out into open countryside on these wonderful, largely level, maintained leisure trails. Activities locally also include sailing and bird watching at Hornsea Mere, Hornsea Golf Course, Freeport shopping centre, Honeysuckle Farm and there is a boat compound with launching facilities. Further afield you’ll find The Deep (a huge aquarium) at Hull and, of course, Bridlington, Scarborough, York, Filey and Flamborough. Whatever the weather, and however you like to spend your holidays, either relaxing or being active, a stay at Station House in Hornsea will surely delight. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Great little flat in prime location Shower not that strong. Would have liked a change of sheets. Washed the towels ourselves so was ok with them. I still would recommend. Love Hornsea P.s. a shame sports centre was closed until next Easter as I was looking forward to going swimming while hubby was fishing

Lovely flat with sea views, warm & cosy, the double bedroom a bit small but as there was only two of us we used the twin, everything we needed in the kitchen etc. would definitely go again and recommend it to others. Dog friendly with private yard area

We were very pleasantly surprised with Flat 1, The Station House, as the photos online do not do justice to the property. There are two very comfortable sofas as well as a high back chair, a dining area (which was a complete surprise) and level access through a second door. As we had a wheelchair user with us, this made things much easier than we expected though we were pleased to see support handles on the door with 2 steps. If the shower had safety handles, it would have been even better for people with special access needs and mobility issues. Looking forward to booking again.

Splendid property - straight out onto Pennine way - excellent for the dog. Hornsea itself is a good old fashioned seaside resort just suited us fine

We had a lovely stay at Station House, the location is perfect, we found Hornsea to be a friendly seaside town. There are several places to eat that are dog friendly within easy walking distance of Station House. The only downside was the double bedroom was rather on the small side, but we would stay there again.
