Starboard cottage is owned by Jan who is also helped by her mum and Auntie. We met them all and were amazed at how lovely and helpful they all were. Nothing is too much for Jan. She provided us with a great bottle of wine and 6 beautiful fresh cream cakes ready on out arrival. She met us at the cottage and showed us aroun, something, in all our years of holidaying in cottages, has never happen before. The cottage itself was a home from home and the garden was thoroughly enjoyed by ourselves and our two dogs. Being completely enclosed, it was totally safe for both our dogs. Treats were left for our pets as well. The bed linen was super and the beds were very comfortable. Downstairs and upstairs is very tastefully decorated and spotless. I feel you love chocolate box cottages, you will love this one.,

This is such a lovely cottage with a friendly owner who is on hand if you need anything. The village is quiet and the cottage has everything for a relaxing holiday and is very clean and well equipped. The beach is wonderful and dog friendly with a lovely café. There is a decent pub in the village if you don't want to drive out in the evening and it's only a short drive to the Broads. My only issue is with the upstairs Jack and Jill bathroom because you have to duck to enter it from one of the bedrooms but other than that, I would return to this cottage without hesitation. A little gem in a friendly, quiet village.

We had a wonderful week at Starboard Cottage. It was a lovely property - spacious and light with enclosed gardens both front and back. Jan had thought of everything including various emergency supplies for guests who forget to pack something. The lovely treats she left for both the human and canine visitors were much appreciated too. Winterton was the perfect location for us with the cottage being just a few minutes walk from the beach, the beach café, local pub and two village shops. Oh, and the fish and chip shop. The locals (and their dogs) were very friendly. We also found Winterton to be a good base for dog friendly walks slightly further afield at Horsey, Potter Higham, Sheringham Park and Honing Lock.

A delightful cottage owned by local people who were extremely friendly and helpful. Situated in a doggy paradise, there are a number of lovely walks along the coastal path, with excellent refreshments available at the Dunes Cafe or local pub.
