This wonderful first floor apartment is just beside the River Wear with popular walks along the river banks, situated just around the corner from the centre of the thriving and beautiful market town of Stanhope. Stanhope offers a variety of local amenities including plenty of cafes, clothes and souvenir shops, local butchers, bakers, post office and ladies and gents hairdressers all within walking distance from the front door of squirrel cottage.
There is also an assortment of local bars including the newly refurbished Curious Grouse bar/restaurant on the heather view caravan park complex, which has food and live entertainment, the new Italian Restaurant at the Dale centre and various Kebab, Pizza and Indian takeaway shops and a mobile fish n chip shop van on Fridays outside the Grey Bull pub.
