In a brilliant setting, this property is just half a mile from Loch Lomond and its many activities, including walking and sailing.

This beautifully restored, detached barn conversion, with a private walled garden, offers an ideal holiday base from which to unwind and explore the beauty of the local area. Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and just over 2 miles from the loch, this property, adjacent to the owners’ home, has stunning views over open countryside and is ideally situated for most country sports and activities. The incredibly beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park has many lochside, lowland and hill walks just a short distance away, including Scotland’s most southerly Munro. Sports include golf, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, cycling and horse riding, and cruises around the loch and its many islands are available. Duncryne Hill is nearby and provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of Loch Lomond. A RSPB centre and a nature conservancy area is a short distance away, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen, including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. There is also a RSBV centre available. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium. The numerous attractions in Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes’ drive, or the former can be easily reached by train from Balloch, 6 miles away. Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are also close to hand. Shop, pub and restaurant are all within 3 miles of the cottage

We had a fabulous week. The cottage was perfect; clean, roomy and everything you need for cooking and cleaning. A quick drive into Balloch or Drymen for pubs, shops and restaurants. Close to Loch Lomond, Lake of Menteith and Trossachs Park. We also drove out to Inverary which didn't take long. The owners were super friendly and helpful but never intrusive. Fell in love with the kirk and graveyard next door which the dogs loved for a little evening stroll before bed. Outdoor space is lovely for secure parking and sitting in the sun...yes we had sun! Definitely considering going back!!

Well equipped cottage and perfect for our family. Clean and the hosts were very helpful without being intrusive. Enjoyed the local area but most things are a drive away with very few walks from the cottage. Only a minor downside.
