In a brilliant setting, this property is just half a mile from Loch Lomond and its many activities, including walking and sailing.

This beautifully restored, detached barn conversion, with a private walled garden, offers an ideal holiday base from which to unwind and explore the beauty of the local area. Situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, and only a 1/2 mile from the loch, this property, adjacent to the owners’ home, has stunning views over open countryside and is ideally situated for most country sports and activities. The incredibly beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park has many lochside, lowland and hill walks just a short distance away, including a Munro. Sports include golf, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, cycling and horse riding, and cruises around the loch and its many islands are available. Duncryne Hill is nearby and provides one of the best 360-degree views in Scotland and a spectacular panorama of Loch Lomond. A nature conservancy area is within walking distance, where a large variety of wildlife may be seen, including deer, ducks, geese, herons, raptors and swans. Local visits include distilleries and an aquarium. The numerous attractions in Glasgow and Stirling are within 40 minutes driving, or the former can be easily reached by train from Balloch, 4 miles away. Fantastic location for an extended family Christmas. Clean, comfy and very well equipped home from home. Maggie & Gordon were available but not intrusive and the welcome goodies were a lovely addition. Highly recommended.

Loved the cottage, really nicely done and spotlessly clean. The only slight grumble was trying to get the wall heaters to give out enough heat - they didn’t! Nice location but a shame to not be able to walk anywhere from the cottage - the road is busy, fast and has zero footpaths.

Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location. The owners were fantastic, looked after us really well and made sure we had everything we needed. Good local amenities - shops, pubs, supermarket all within a 10 minute drive or less

Lovely cottage. Excellent facilities. Very special touches with welcome basket. We travelled to many places in Scotland from the cottage and despite the weather, had a great holiday. The owners were extremely friendly.

We are a family of 4 with 2 small dogs. Location and house was excellent. Warm welcome at arrival by the owners. The house has a bathroom downstairs and one upstairs. Enough space to sit outside together with a perfect barbeque. Inside 3 benches, so enough space there as well. The kitchen is well equipped (wash machine, dryer, oven, microwave and dishwasher, We walked the first 4 legs of the West highland Way. Used regular taxi and boat taxi to get to or from our car.

Excellent accommodation. Received a welcome pack of milk, bread, jam etc which was lovely. First accommodation we have stayed in to have a welcome pack. The owners couldn't do enough for you. They were able to help us with any questions we had of the area etc. Fantastic view from the cottage. Shed to store bikes. So much to do in the area, ideal spot to explore the surrounding area. R.S.P.B site on the doorstep and so many walks in the area.

While the owners were friendly and helpful in her welcome there were some important flaws. The bedroom arrangement didn't work. There aren't enough comfortable chairs. There isn't enough storage although it would be easy to put cupboards in the bathrooms. Two people can't work in the kitchen - is below standard width. The owners haven't tried living in it - if they had it would not take much to put some things right. The decoration and equipment are excellent and we enjoyed the wood fire.

A very nice cottage in top condition. The only minor issue we had was the small woodburning stove that is very difficult to control.

Quality equipment and very comfortable beds, very clean. If six adults are staying the only downside was the chair for the sixth person, it was not comfortable at all. It would have made so much sense to have two two seater sofas and a three seater sofa. Our party had six adults, so it would have made the stay much more comfortable.
