The Chapel was a super spacious place. Well eqipt and clean in a quiet location. As it's an on going project and has lots of potential may possibly revisit.

The church is beautifully renovated in a lovely setting. It was spotlessly clean with lots of space for our party of 12. Things which would improve it further are the back garden could benefit from some tlc, making it more accessible for children to play out there. The dining room chairs were tired and wobbly and at risk of breakage. The lounge was again spacious but seating not ideal. However saying all that the church was warm and generally comfortable throughout our stay.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for leaving such a great review. We have added a new table and three new chairs as a result of your positive feedback in connection with the dining area. There is also a new lounge suite.

Our holiday at St Albans Church has been significantly overshadowed by the lack of warmth in the church, the underfloor heating was totally inadequate to heat such a big building. Having to top up a gas card is inconvenient and very expensive but we did have -5 temperatures so possibly not an issue for most visitors.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I am very disappointed in your review considering that you did not understand the controls or the idea that the £25 gas was already on the meter and not on the card. Also being snowed in and the temperature dipping to -10 for the 1st time in 50 years did not help. I spoke to you within an hour of arrival to explain we had put the heating on early for your arrival due to the Red weather warnings. As you can see from the majority of 9+ reviews, the property is a wonderful church conversion and many happy memories have been made there. We trust future guests will look at the consistently high scores / comments for our Holiday Church Conversion for a more balanced review of our property.

This cottage has plenty of WOW factor and was in a good location, as previous reviews has mentioned the heating system does take a bit of time to kick in, but following the owners instructions and it was soon cosy & warm. There were some issues with the hot water system but after visits from the local plumber the issue was resolved. We all enjoyed playing pool and the arcade machine, the kitchen had plenty of equipment and the lounge area was spacious and comfortable and we had no problems with the wifi.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the glowing review although only 6 out of 10 does not add up with the score? You mention in the comments that it is in a good location but the graph shows 5 out of 10? We had to purchase a lot of new boiler equipment as we were made aware from the previous guests that the showers went cold after 30 seconds. As a result, the new valves and pump were being adjusted to full fill the properties water temperatures.

We did have a good time the walk to the top of waterfall was amazing. We had a few problems with none of the showers working(all cold after 30 seconds), dish washer flooding the kitchen, not enough wine glasses (didn't want to drink out if plastic glasses) beds not very comfortable but on a plus side the kitchen was fantastic for a family get together. We would go back again if the above was corrected.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We thank you for such a good review considering the thermostats and pump broke during your stay. Although we did get a plumber there within hours, it did take three visits to completely resolve the issues. With your comments we noticed that the dishwasher was not closing correctly as the locking loop was bent and not locking the door fully. We have checked the glasses situation and found over 25 glasses which include wine and soft drinks glasses which is more than adequate for 10 guests.
