Perched high on the cliff top at the head of St Abbs, the setting of this collection of Lighthouse Cottages is simply sublime!   The winding climb up the protected cliff face to the top rewards with the most magical of sea views; seen from many of the windows of the properties.
Lightkeepers Cottage is accessed via one step through a storm door with the accommodation having the added convenience of being all on ground floor level.  This property has recently undergone a total refurbishment offering a contemporary blend to this unique building.  The living / dining / kitchen areas are at the front and offer sea views.  Both bedrooms are positioned at the rear along with the modern bathroom and additional cloakroom making this property suitable for the gathering of family and friends or those couples seeking something rather special! Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

The accommodation is all on ground floor level heated by electricity and comprises:
Lounge / diner:  with Freesat TV and sea views
Kitchen:  with integral electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
Bedroom 1:  with king-size bed
Bedroom 2:  with two single beds
Bathroom:  with shower over bath, WC and wash basin
Cloakroom:  with WC and wash basin

All electricity, bed linen and towels included. Electric blankets provided. Off road parking for 2 cars.

    If you are looking for peace and quiet and sea views this was a lovely place to be at this time of the year. St. Abbs is a very pretty fishing village ( the cafe is a must!).

    Cottage was very good only 3 things could have been even better: 1: more cutlery. Eg only 3 teaspoons and they look as though they are about to fall apart 2: washing up liquid was empty on 1st day and wash sponge on last legs. We bought replacements and left them for following guests 3:cleaning ok but in corners & behind chairs by Windows there was dust on floor and even an old sock

    Had fab time at Lighthouse cottage. The kitchen fully equipped, cottage very clean and comfortable. Had some minor issues like a little drawing on bedroom wall and a little mould around bath otherwise cleanliness would be 10. Linen and towels fresh and spotless. Location breathtaking. Beautiful sea views, birds and wildlife in a lovely national park. Gave average score for local amenities because shops and pubs were miles away. However, we were aware of that before booking and it did not detract from our experience. Had lovely walks to St Abbs and Eyemouth and excursions to Edinburgh castle and Edinburgh Zoo. However, loved coming back to our lovely cottage for a glass of wine whilst watching the waves from the lounge window in a lovely peaceful setting. Ps welcome gift of shortbread, local cheese and oatcakes was a lovely touch and got us in the mood for our lovely Scottish holiday. Plan to return.
