"Lakeside" is a spacious, clean apartment. We did not have a mobile signal (O2) but the wifi was adequate for our needs. The apartment was clean and tidy on our arrival and contained all that we would need. The apartment is in an isolated area, within the grounds of the owners house and shares a patio and garden with the upstairs apartment. There were horses, geese and other wildlife close by. However, the fixtures and fittings are looking tired and the wet room had a utilitarian feel to it. A new sofa and double bed (probably the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in) would definitely improve the comfort of this apartment.

The location was wonderful with a gorgeous garden, paddock and gated lake. This was fantastic for my son, daughter in law and very young family. I had booked the cottage for their first visit to Wales from England as restrictions prevented them staying with us. The 5 star description and Covid secure measures reassured me that the cottage would be suitable. Unfortunately, the cottage is not 5 star as equipment was very tired. For example, it was hard to read the instructions on the cooker, there were limited instructions snd one if the washbasins was wobbly. My greatest concern was the cleanliness which was very poor. There was thick dust on the fridge as well as on sofas and under the furniture. My granddaughter is at the crawling stage and discovered large amounts of dust. The kitchen floor was dirty and the towels were hard and uncomfortable. We had to anti bac all surfaces and I actually provided my family with my own towels. Considering the current climate, the level of cleanliness was shocking to say the least. This was so disappointing as the venue was ideal and it could have been perfect. Even though the friendly owners were on site, we decided not to ask them to rectify the cleaning as my family had nowhere else to go and t would have been too difficult to move the children and belongings from the cottage. Also, it would have eaten into their stay time. We have stayed in many cottages and never experienced this before.
