Description

Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Springbank - with views over Loch Greshornish and the open countryside.

Springbank is a detached, architect designed property which has been furnished with all the homely comforts. It is set within the rural crofting township of Upper Edinbane and has views over Loch Greshornish and the open countryside. This peaceful and tranquil place offers a true ’get away from it all’ experience, whether you go out exploring or just enjoy the comfort of Springbank. Edinbane is only a 15-minute drive from Portree, the Island’s capital, where you will find a variety of shops. The Fingal Centre which has a swimming pool, climbing wall and a gym as well as the Aros Centre which hosts the RSPB Sea Eagle Exhibition, cinema and various music events are well worth a visit. There are also boat trips from the harbour. Dunvegan is only a short drive away where you will find Dunvegan Castle, home to the Clan MacLeod, coral beaches and the Giant Angus MacAskill Museum. The island has a range of activities for you to enjoy including, the Talisker Distillery, the Skye Museum of Island Life and Neist Point Lighthouse. There are lovely coastal walks and you can climb the MacLeod’s Tables. Beach 13 miles. Shop 8 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    We had a lovely week in the comfortable, spacious, and very well-equipped Springbank cottage. Our only issue was the limited hot water each day, which was a bit inconvenient. We would definitely return to the cottage in the future and would also recommend it to others.

This should not happen as there is a large hot water tank heated by solar panels and supplemented by an oil fired boiler. I’ll get the equipment checked and will provide more guidance for guests on how to manually boost the hot water heater. Apologies once again and we look forward to your next visit. Ian and Mary.

    Blown away by this cottage! The whole party was extremely impressed by the standard of this cottage and how perfect it was for our holiday. Can't fault it at all - would absolutely recommend!

    Springbank is situated in a great location for visiting central and northern Skye. The house has fantastic views with facilities to match. It was warm, comfortable and modern with a kitchen that had everything you needed. The bathrooms and showers are great with no shortage of hot water etc. The owners have thoughtfully provided a welcome pack of goodies for your arrival. The house is spotlessly clean. During our stay we needed to contact the owner (there was no problem) and they responded to my email within minutes and resolved my question. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to family and friends.
