We chose Sporting Heights for an early family xmas get together. 9 families got together with children ranging from 10 months to 10 years. Everyone had an amazing time and both Vicky and Rob the owners were very helpful. Rob showed the children around the farm and allowed them to feed the goats. Everyone was thrilled. Would definitely return as and when a future date can be arranged. Cannot recommend highly enough.

A group of 11 of us were staying at Sporting Heights whilst we were on a course so we didn't use the local amenities (other than collecting a curry from the restaurant recommended to us by Rob). There was certainly ample space for our group and we cooked breakfast and an evening meal every day with sufficient equipment.

The poor rating for local amenities is only because of the house's location out in the countryside but this is a little unfair/hypocritical as we specifically wanted a property miles from civilisation! The house was absolutely perfect for our weekend, a social gathering of 20 friends: only a 10-15 minute drive to the picturesque village of Bewdley yet far enough from the madding crowd to live in complete peace and quiet. Our friendly hosts met us on the Friday night and promptly informed us we did not need to leave early on the Sunday (check out is usually 10am) and could have an extra couple of hours on site if needed. To which we obliged! Would happily recommend this property to any large group wanting a weekend away.

Sporting Heights is an absolutely wonderful venue, well equipped with all that one would need to satisfy in our case 4 generations. Well managed by charming owners who were extremely helpful in answering any queries extremely promptly. Drawbacks? The hobs took far longer than we had anticipated but after the first meal, we adapted and it was no longer an issue. It catered to a very large family being able to have some privacy but also able to be with all- in our case- 26 of us! Overall the specs did not do justice to how the venue was in reality. It was far far better than we had thought and I couldn’t recommend the place more highly. A great weekend where everything worked.

We visited Sporting Heights for a joint 60th birthday celebration in early June. There were twenty of us, ranging in age from one to eighty-four years, and the property was perfect for each and every one of us. The house was spacious yet homely and extremely well equipped, there was everything we could possibly need. Having so many bathrooms was a real bonus. The gardens and surrounding grounds are beautiful. We had some rain while we were there, so the games room was much appreciated and the long tables were perfect for family meals and card games. Our hosts Rob and Vicky were welcoming and helpful. We would love to return one day.

Our family of 16 adults and 5 children stayed here for a week at Easter. The house was fantastic with more than enough space, seating, utensils and equipment for us all. When we arrived the owner had very kindly baked us 2 cakes and some scones as well! Some of us spent some time walking and fishing round the lakes, day trips into local towns, walks in Clows Top, Wyre forest, West Midlands safari and visiting the Ironbridge museums. There was lots to do if you can all drive to various places. The farm is quiet and peaceful, which does mean there’s not much very close by. There was a small Londis 10 minutes drive away however. We were well cared for and hosted at Sporting Heights. Rob was on hand if needed but also respected our privacy and let us know when he planned to pop in (he very kindly emptied the bins for us!). He even showed us round the farm and animals they kept, which the kids loved. All in all this is a great family holiday spot and would definitely recommend. Thank you to Rob & co at Clay Farm Partnership - you were great hosts!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the comments and for being such great guests. You left the property just as found, told us of any issues and were a pleasure to have staying. We couldn’t ask for better. Thank you, come again.
