South Downs Lodge is a unique recently completed single story one bedroom property, incorporating a wealth of characterful features including exposed oak beams, doors, and flooring.
The main accommodation is arranged on an open plan basis. There is a door leading to the master suite with a king size bed made up with Egyptian cotton bedding, a window overlooking the stable yard. En-suite has a shower cubicle, hand basin and wc.
The sitting and dining area is spacious with bi-fold doors providing the main entrance to the lodge which overlook the adjoining paddocks. The kitchen is well equipped with under work top refrigerator and electric oven, induction hob, half size dishwasher, microwave cooker, toaster, and kettle. The layout of the interior provides a light and airy concept with a feel of sheer quality throughout. Outside of the property there is a small seating area with a garden table and chairs.
Soberton is a village within the Meon Valley which nestles in heart of the South Downs National Park. It is a superb location for country pursuits. There is a local pub within a mile away, a truly typical village pub serving food and beverages. A stroll away through the meadows you will discover the River Meon, a renowned chalk stream, which is in Droxford. This is another charming Meon Valley Village with its church “All Saints Church” early Norman architecture dating from the mid to late 12th Century.
There are two convenient stores within easy driving distance. For more selection both Bishops Waltham Town Centre an historic market town with its palace ruins or the village of Wickham with its fine Georgian square are approximately 6 miles away. If you’re looking for something historic, this lodge is perfect for those wanting to visit the ancient sights of Winchester, including the Dock yard and Cathedral.
