These two cottages (refs UKC3112 and UKC3113), recently renovated in 2018 to a high standard, were formerly a barn and are situated in the rural village of Six Ashes, just 6 miles from the Shropshire town of Bridgnorth and next to the Six Ashes Inn, a country pub/dining. Often described as one of England’s most spectacular inland towns, visitors from all over the world come to see this magnificent town of two halves. Low Town gives exceptional views of the valley and Britain’s longest river, the Severn, whilst views from High Town were declared by King Charles I as ’the finest in his domain’. The cliff railway takes you between the two halves, and the Severn Valley Railway is a picturesque 16-mile journey following the line of the river. The town holds a street market and livestock market, and has many fine shops to explore, which are located between the fine houses and cottages within the town centre.

Other nearby towns to explore include Much Wenlock, Telford, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury. Local and nearby attractions include Dudmaston Hall, Attingham Park, Ironbridge Gorge, museums, Rays Farm Country Matters, Wenlock Edge, Long Mynd and glider centre, RAF Cosford, Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom, Wonderland at Telford, Weston Park and Wilderhope Manor. Nearby activity centres can provide a range of activities, from mountain boarding, Segway, zip wires, quad bike trekking, clay shooting and archery. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
No. 1 Ash Cottage (ref UKC3112) and No. 2 Ash Cottage (ref UKC3113) can be booked together to accommodate up to 6 guests.

Really lovely barn conversion next to a lovely country pub which was very cosy and welcoming. The barn could’ve been better equipped with more kitchen utensils, hairdryer etc. but the barn itself was very comfortable. Location was perfect for us but the only thing you could walk to was the attached pub, everywhere else was a drive away.

what a lovely flat/apartment , we stopped in the bottom one , it was a beautiful place, there are a couple of minor issues if you go for a no 2 on the toilet it takes 4 or 5 flushes to get rid of the paper ect, you dont have any tongs for when your frying food , . the last night we were there some body was up above in the top flat and you could here everything the talking to them walking on the floor they need to sort out sound proofing and fast , ............ only stop in the bottom flat if you are deaf or dont mind noise, we had our dog with us and he was going mad at the noise , we would never stop here or in any flat/ apartment ever again,,, it would also help if there was a sweeping brush to sweep the floors, and where are all your recycle bins

I assume that the owners are new to renting the property. The property itself is lovely. Things that needed attention was the WiFi was unpredictable. Only 1 dish cloth, 1 Teatowel, no kitchen roll, 1 toilet roll provided. Could have kept going to the pub for replacements but there should be adequate supplies for the week stay. There was no rubber mat or anti slip mat for the bath so you could have a shower. The toilet bowl and seat were very small and very low. There is a light that goes on when you approach it outside the bathroom, which was good but it stayed on for 15 minutes, instead of going off after a couple of minutes. The green lights that stayed on during the night in the bedrooms were too bright, I gather they must be a safety feature but still too bright.

We arrived to the fridge and toilet and toaster not cleaned. This was not acceptable !.Thee cottage itself was very nicely decorated but lacked dishes to serve and roasting tin. We did not realise that the cottage joined on to the back of the pub !!!! Location was deceptive as it was on a main road.We have been to many lovely cottages but will not be back to this one.
