When we first arrived to the property we got a welcoming message to the property. However, once there, the reception area floor was still wet and had a chlorine smell in the property. The boiler only allowed us to have warm water during two times a day, in the morning and late at it meant we had to clean the dish’s and had to have cold showers sometimes which is not fun in winter at all. A little heads up about the boiler would have been nice. We also had a power trip at the property, in which we had to find the fuse box because there was no signal and no WiFi (due to electrical fault) to send a message. When leaving we left the property, however got a message saying the owner felt we didn’t respect the property, and left dirty dishes. But after replying and telling her that we made sure the dishes were clean before we left she quickly changed it to saying that they were rinsed but not washed. The story changed, but I know we cleaned the dishes before leaving and that too in cold water and then to receive a message saying we didn’t respect the property it seemed pointless to even to keep the property clean and tidy. Overall I wouldn’t use the owners property again, not because of the property but because of the attitude of the owner.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Regarding your comments, considering the previous responses we have received from satisfied customers, I was surprised to read you seemed to have some problems with the facilities at the property. We leave instructions for all of the appliances and can always be contacted if there are any queries or problems whilst staying with us. Section 14 of the booking terms and conditions clearly states that the property is to be kept clean and tidy, and is to be left in a similar condition as you found it when you arrived. This is to ensure that the property is always ready, clean and welcoming for the next guests who are arriving, to ensure they have an excellent experience as our other customers have had. Once again, if there are any questions or queries whilst in the property, you can always contact us and we will endeavour to rectify them as soon as possible.

An excellent apartment for a family gathering. Comfortable bedrooms and good to have three bathrooms. And the open-plan kitchen/diner and living room was fantastic to spend time together. Good views too.

Lovely modern, well equipped apartment on the edge of Alnmouth village. All bedrooms en suite and plenty of private parking. 5 minutes walk from pubs and restaurants. Handy convenience store also a few minutes walk away. Probably the best accommodation we have stayed in for our annual walking holiday.

Probably the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in. Spacious; light; comfortable; beautifully furnished; well equipped; contemporary and spotlessly clean. The bed in the main bedroom is huge ( as is the room) and so comfortable! Fabulous bathrooms with walk in showers, but also two deep soaking bathtubs. Lots of storage space! Private parking is allocated just outside the entrance. All that plus very friendly and helpful owners! Beautiful views of the estuary from all front windows and within a few minutes walk of pubs, cafes, shops etc in Alnmouth, as well as the beach and riverside walks. Alnwick is only a short drive away. The location is great for exploring further afield : up and down the coast ; across to the National Park and down to Hadrians Wall. The apartment is reached via a lift ( or stairs) and the downstairs is completely accessible. It's difficult to find fault but the only potential downsides, depending on your needs and preferences are that there is no private sitting out area (at the other side of the small housing development and shared with another property) and the approach road is very steep to walk if you have mobility problems. Overall, a stunning property in a wonderful part of the country. We just loved it , have already recommended it to friends and hope to return. Thank you to Emma and her lovely Dad.
