Super cottage- very clean and lots of small touches including biscuits and milk on arrival ;) Looking when we can rebook ;) Only negative was the tricky parking as someone from one of the other cottages was parked across our allocated parking and refused to move but nothing the owners would have been able to do.

Good points 1. Parking for two cars - gold dust in Wells 2. Beds chairs and sofa comfortable 3. Decent Wi-fi 4. Good location Bad Points 1. Cleanliness was disgraceful. Oven dirty dishwasher dirty crockery and glasses had some black substance peppered throughout. The grill was covered in half inch of cooking fat the shower curtain looked as though it had been dragged across the muddy football pitch and the bathroom tiles were filthy. One of the bathroom towels had what only can be described as dried ink blobs engraved in the fabric. Bed linen was clean however. 2. Health and safety issues : the stair rope leading to the 2nd floor came away from the wall at the slightest pull, there was a sharp piece of wood protruding from the skirting board on the stairs to the first floor sticking up like a stake. Put your foot through it and you would know it! Several damp patches on the walls in the downstairs toilet and mildew (and a lot of it)in the cupboard in the bedroom. There was a step from the dining area to the kitchen which i managed to trip down several times as it was camouflaged by the fact the wooden flooring in both areas was identical. We had to put a dishcloth down to remind ourselves the step was there. It needs a white line. The garden patio was unkempt despite all the other properties on the plot having well looked after similar sized patios. Such a shame that this cottage has been badly let down it deserves better. Quite how the property was allowed to be handed over in this state is baffling. Perhaps the cleaning company could provide some answers?
