A 4-mile drive leads to Caernarfon, home to a magnificent castle and the Welsh Highland Railway for scenic journeys into the heart of the Snowdonia mountains, whilst from Bangor, 2 miles, bridges cross the Menai Strait to Anglesey, where Beaumaris Castle, the butterfly farm, sea zoo and glorious sandy beaches for water sports are among the island’s many attractions. And at the foot of Snowdon, Llanberis, 8 miles, boasts a lakeside and mountain railway as well as a slate museum and huge range of outdoor activities. Snowdonia’s most exciting activity is within easy reach, Zip World Velocity, is the worlds longest and fastest zip line which sees riders fly solo through the skies at over 100mph. Whilst for a more tranquil pastime, beautiful walking and cycling on peaceful country lanes is available straight from the doorstep of the cottages. Shop and pub serving food 1½ miles.

We stayed here for 7 nights, with a westie dog, the private secure garden was perfect for him, on arrival were some smashing human treats which was a nice touch, the cottage was spotlessly clean throughout, we felt very safe in these strange covid times, the area was spot on, ( for peace, snowdon, Anglesey, Caernarfon, Bangor, Llandudno, were all a short drive away) private car park, we have got to rate this cottage 10/10 would use again no hesitation, many thanks a great time was had. 

For us Seion cottage is in a near perfect location for exploring North Wales. It is close to the bridges taking you across to Anglesey, close to the North Wales Coast Road (A55) and close to restaurants and supermarkets in Bangor, Menai Bridge and Caernarfon. The cottage is well equipped but there are a few minor things to highlight. One is you need to be careful if you use the bath as the spout for the bath taps projects into the area where you climb out or in. The extractor fan in the bathroom does not work hence it can steam up in some circumstances. Also the wifi can be rather slow. For dog owners the garden is secure and only larger dogs may be able to climb over the slate fence.
