This property is part of our Welcome Cottages collection

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Boasting delightful sea views from every floor, this beautifully presented holiday property is in an idyllic location for you and your family.

Set on the cliffs above the bustling seaside town of Brixham, this delightful cottage has stunning sea views from every floor. From the moment you walk through the door, there are uninterrupted views of the marina and across Torbay. From the master bedroom or from the terraced garden, you will love relaxing and watching the constant activity in the fishing harbour, as the boats come in to unload their catch. You can see across the marina and out to sea and watch the ferries come and go between Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth. Tastefully furnished with a New England feel/nautical theme, Seaside Stories is a great place for a proper seaside holiday.
The bustling centre of Brixham is a short walk away and there are some great restaurants, fresh fish sellers and a good range of shops to enjoy. Brixham has been a charming and picturesque working fishing port for centuries, with characteristic fisherman’s cottages clustered around the historic harbour where Prince William of Orange landed in 1688. The town has many attractive, winding narrow streets, with colourful cottages, a wide selection of shops, art gallery, craft shops and various cafés, restaurants, pubs and churches. Brixham’s beaches are a mixture of sand, shingle and large pebbles. The popular open-air sea water swimming pool is surrounded by a shingle and rock beach, which is always popular for rock pooling. Nearby are the wonderful sandy beaches of Broadsands, Goodrington and Paignton. There are lovely coastal footpaths to Berry Head Nature Reserve with its colonies of nesting guillemots and kittiwakes, the Napoleonic fort and the lighthouse. The lighthouse, both the smallest and highest in Britain, enjoys a view that will make you reluctant to leave. The view extends across the town to your left and guests can walk down to the town, harbourside and beaches in 5 minutes. Shops pubs and restaurants ½ mile.

This cottage is clean and decorated beautifully with little seaside bits and pieces everywhere. The sea views that you get to wake up to each morning really make this a very special place to stay. I highly recommend this cottage.

Great view on all levels. Lovely cottage, with all amenities, close to town centre and nearby cove. Boat trips from the harbour to Torquay, Paignton & Dartmouth were excellent.

The view of the harbour was amazing. The minute you walked through the front door it took your breath away, large picture windows overlooking the harbour from nearly every room in the house. The decor was so tastefully done for a seaside house. A lovely clean smell when you walked in which stayed in the house all week. Bus stop only a minute away to take you down into the town and back!

This was a wonderful property. Arranged over 3 floors - each with a stunning sea view across Brixham Harbour and Torbay, watching the fishing boats come in and out of the harbor as the son came up each day. 2 great outside seating areas, very well equipped kitchen with nice touch of some scones, bread, wine etc left for us. Wi Fi Access. Comfortable bedrooms very good shower. And so long as you don't mind some up and downhill walking a short trip down to the harbor and town centre with great selection of places to eat and a fantastic selection of coastal walks. Also boat trips available and great nearby places to visit like Dartmouth and the beaches just beyond it. The only complaint I could make is that street parking near the property is hit and miss and you might have to park a few hundred yards away on occasion and for people no longer able to get up and down steep hills and who don't have a car, the trip into the town centre and harbourside would be tricky

Truly excellent accommodation, restful and tasteful, beautifully fitted and decorated. Parking was occasionally a problem but we managed. Views astounding, garden and balcony delightful. Brixham doesn't seem to have a baker's but apart from that we found everything!
