Fabulous holiday cottage. Beautiful location, clean, warm and comfortable. As a holiday cottage owner (and knowing what I leave for my guests), I would have liked to have seen more equipment left for the eight of us - more mugs & glasses, better kitchen equipment, bigger sink & drainer. We needed more tea towels and I had to search for a dish cloth, no washing up liquid or dishwasher tabs. The two small towels per person should have been complemented by hand towels in the bathrooms. We were caught out by the small hot water tank too! These extra provisions would have made our stay perfect.

Overall the house was very good and I missed it when I came home which is always a good sign. The bedrooms themselves are quite small but the open plan living room/dining room accommodated us all. If the weather is good the views are spectacular and I can stil seem them now. A small annoyance was that if the sun is shining in through the open plan area windows it can be blinding depending on where you are sitting and there are no blinds in any of the windows to help alleviate this. Interestingly we found that those with EE phones could get reasonable internet access by using their phone as a wi-fi hotspot and those with Vodafone had nothing. There is wi-fi in the house which was variable in quality which we were not expecting so their is limited internet access.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are glad you were blessed with some Skye sunshine and had a great holiday. We have not advertised that Seascape has wi-fi and raised our guests expectations as we are at the end of our line and some way from the exchange which means we dont get a great signal strength. The wi-fi should be good for emails and general browsing but will not support streaming. That said, we did contact our supplier who confirmed a fault at the exchange which Openreach have now fixed, so thank you for letting us know.

Fantastic location overlooking the loch for epic sunrises and sunsets. Close to the Talisker Distillery and within easy reach of all Skye's attractions. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation with all the amenities you could wish for. Dog friendly and ample parking space, good walks nearby and friendly neighbours. Fiscavaig beach is right outside the fabulous full height windows. Great at night with the log burner going and dining in the spacious open planned living area. Stayed here in November when Skye is at its quietist, feeling like we had the whole island to ourselves. Will definitely return. It would be good to have wi fi in these modern times but that didn't spoil our holiday as no one could bother us :)
