Spacious & well equipped house with plenty of hot water and bathrooms. Child stair gate was not functional & caretaker unable to help. Had to order nuts from Amazon. Living room was quite dirty and dusty around tv and under settees.

Excellent. It was our second visit and we are due to go again in December. Being located in country near a farm there is inevitably a problem with flies and installation of a UV fly zapper is definitely required for the kitchen. They are only about £40 and would make a big difference. Otherwise the farm house is highly recommended.

This was the second time we have stayed at Scarr House farm and we had a good time but this year we had a really bad experience with the vast amount of bluebottles in the house , landing on food, drink and ourselves. There was an overriding smell of manure all the time which deterred us from sitting outside in the garden, which is a shame as the garden is pretty. I am not sure if this experience is seasonal, as we had flies last year - as one would expect in the countryside- but nothing compared to this year. The family with young children were very wary. I would check this out before booking. I am giving a low review rating which is a shame for a nice house.
