We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. The sun shone a lot of the time which showed the sea view off a treat. It was expensive, but I realise school holidays influence this. The wind got up at night quite often and made the internal doors rattle and also the windows and roman blinds. However the lovely comfortable beds and sofas and well equipped kitchen made up for it!

Scarborough is the third cottage we have stayed in at the Scalby lodge complex, it is simply stunning. The view is possibly one of the best on the east coast and I have been holidaying there for 25yrs. The complex itself is ideally situated and is perfect for different groups, we had 3 children and they all loved it. The only complaint I would have is that for such a large cottage it needs more fridge/freezer space as their simply isn't enough room for multiple adults and children and this meant frequent trips to the shop. That is literally the only complaint though. Otherwise I can't recommend it enough and we have already booked it again for next year!
