Springthorpe cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. It was clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to self cater. The beds were very comfortable, the only thing I would say would be if you like firm pillows take your own as they are extremely soft. It was nice having an outside seating area which we used constantly. The wildlife around the cottage was outstanding from swallows to hares. Great base as could walk into Scarborough a long the cliffs or it was a quick drive. Will definitely book again.

Stayed at Springthorpe cottage 3rd to 7th June 2019, its in a nice peaceful setting but within minutes of local amenities. We travelled with our 2 year old grand-daughter, who loved the playground. The property itself was clean, tidy and the furnishings were of a high standard. There was everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was only a 5 minute drive to north beach and if you didn't want to drive there was a bus stop across the road. There was some nice walks within the area and maps were available for you to borrow if you wished, along with books, dvds etc. Would definitely return to this propery.

Our 3rd stay at Scalby and our 1st at Springthorpe. The cottage was bigger than we expected which was a nice surprise and perfect for us with having a young son as all in one level. Beautifully presented as always and in a peaceful spot. Will certainly return.

We had a fantastic stay. We loved the walk along the cliffs to Scarborough and only used the car once. The cottage was clean and cozy and we really enjoyed putting the wood burner on in the evening. The weather was amazing. Our daughter made full use of the park, we used the putting green, the pool table and watched a few dvd's from the dvd library. A very relaxing break.

A fabulous cottage in a fabulous location. Lovely decor that made it both modern and cosy, and spotlessly clean throughout. We loved that there were so many birds to see and hear and the easy walk along the cliff path to North Bay beach. For a foodie, the kitchen could have done with a couple more gadgets and some new pans (the bottoms of a few of them were very poor), and a slight whiff from the septic tank could do with some attention but other than that, a perfect place in a wonderful location.
