Honestly such a lovely place and setting. Well thought out and has more equipment than usual self catered accommodation. Nothing felt missed. Would happily come back. Great for families and so close to the town and other activities.

Second time at Springthorpe Cottage, we absolutely love it there. Its in a semi rural location but a few minutes by car to Scarborough north beach and the lovely Peasholm Park. When we arrived last week, the lights and heating were on in the cottage giving it a nice homely feel, especially as it was a cold autumn day. The log burner was all set up ready to light with plenty of spare logs in the basket near the fire. There is a small welcome pack provided. Also provided are toiletries, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc, which you normally have to take with you to other places. Its like home for home, and everyone in the on site office is very warm and friendly if you need advice. Both times we have visited with my 2 year old granddaughter and she loves the onsite play area and this time we found a putting green which she also loved. Lots of nice walks in the area. Look forward to revisiting soon.

Springthorpe cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. It was clean and extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to self cater. The beds were very comfortable, the only thing I would say would be if you like firm pillows take your own as they are extremely soft. It was nice having an outside seating area which we used constantly. The wildlife around the cottage was outstanding from swallows to hares. Great base as could walk into Scarborough a long the cliffs or it was a quick drive. Will definitely book again.
