This welcoming home has a well equipped kitchen, a conservatory and sea views from the master bedroom. This area is fantastic for scenic walking. Quiet lanes and off-road trails make the area ideal for cycling, and the sign-posted 60 mile ’Round the Island’ cycle route passes through the village. The unspoilt west coast beaches, including the secluded, sandy bay of Compton is within a 10-minute drive, and plenty of outdoor pursuits including sailing, fishing, golf, cycling, paragliding and watersports can be found locally. Within easy reach are many tourist attractions, including the Needles, Blackgang Chine, pottery painting at Chessell, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Calbourne Water Mill, Dinosaur Isle, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House, The Garlic Farm and many more. We had a lovely stay here, the house was a great size with a great garden, it had everything we needed as a family of four and dog the only thing I would say is that it is need of a deep clean and I would recommend new mattresses and sofa. We very much enjoyed our first visit to the IOW.

For those who like hiking, this cottage is perfect. Garden is also large and well fenced off, so it's great for dogs. Cottage itself is lovely, with plenty of space. EV point appreciated.

A return visit to Sandrock for us & another very enjoyable week. The house is in a great position for walks & exploring this part of the island. It's well equipped & nice to be have a view of the sea from the bedroom window, as well as the beautiful view of the down. The dogs loved the garden - so much space & fully enclosed once the gates are shut. Brighstone is a very friendly village - the shop is well stocked & the Post Office cafe is ideal for breakfast after the morning walk! Would highly recommend Sandrock as a base, whether you want to be active or just relax & enjoy the views.
