Great place. Up a few flights of stairs but really lovely and clean. Not fan in the bathroom so after a hot shower it took a while to get rid of the steam etc. Not noisy at all considering the location !

Excellent location for town centre, restaurants, lake, etc, but being on a street full of bars and a pub it can be noisy quite late at night, especially from the outside tables at the Wainright pub. Entrance is from a rather unattractive yard behind George Fisher and up some outside stairs. The balcony is actually off the stairs, although there is room for a small table. The car parking is a minute away, reached by walking around the outside of George Fisher. Apartment was bright and comfortable, furnishings from Ikea, reasonably cool during the extreme heat wave, but there is no fan provided. It was disappointing that in a room big enough for a king bed, that only a standard double was provided and this wasn't so comfortable. In addition, given that it was a sprung mattress, sleeping close to the edge gave more feeling of rolling out (which a memory foam mattress would not have done) - tricky when it was hot and a bit of separation would have been useful. Apartment was fairly clean, but shower drain was blocked when first tried out. A full litre of drain unblocker solved it but I would have expected the cleaner to have spotted this before we arrived. Would be happy to stay again if it the bed was changed to a king.

Would recommend to younger people has there is a lot of steps up to the apartment and with myself having knee problems I found it very difficult also I'm not good with heights and found it quite hard with the steps being outside but the apartment was very clean and comfortable
