This comfortable little cottage offers a delightful garden and ample off road parking. The kitchen has all the modern appliances and is extremely well equipped, whilst the living/dining room is comfortable and in the winter has the added advantage of the lovely and cosy Aga. Perfect to cosy up in the colder months after a day out exploring the area. With two roomy bedrooms complimented by super comfy beds and a family bathroom, Rose Rigg Cottage really is a lovely home from home and the perfect location from which to enjoy your adventures in this lovely part of Cumbria.
Smithfield is a small village roughly equidistant from the larger market towns of Longtown and Brampton, and is only 6 miles from the border city of Carlisle. With miles of quiet country lanes right from your doorstep at Rose Rigg Cottage, walkers and cyclists are well catered for.
Whilst staying at here, you are only a short drive to enjoy one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. A must is a visit to Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can walk parts of the wall and enjoy its dramatic landscape. Explore the beauty of the Lake District National Park with its majestic mountains and lakes. A short drive will take you over the border into Scotland with its miles of dramatic coastline, beautiful sandy beaches and stunning cliff top walks. For those with retail therapy in mind, Caledonia Park, a designer outlet at Gretna, is a must. Whatever delights you sample, return to a warm and comfortable cottage.
