As you approach Robin’s Retreat you will feel your shoulders drop as you take in the stillness of this award-winning park, where the stresses and strains of every-day life just melt away. Set in unspoilt woodland, Robin’s Retreat has been carefully furnished to mix comfort with style and is the perfect place to relax and unwind in, whether you choose to do so in the comfort of the cosy living room or amongst the trees in the decked outdoor area. It is a much-loved family bolthole where many wonderful memories have been made, and the owners are very excited for you to make your own there too.
Kelling Heath is probably unlike any holiday park you have every visited, much care has been taken to ensure the placement of the lodges provides privacy and tranquillity, making the most of the 300-acre site, which has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It does offer many of the draws of other sites such as a heated indoor swimming pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, a sauna, steam room, hot tub and health and fitness centre (three-day passes are available at very reasonable rates) along with an on-site shop, which boasts lots of local produce, a bar and pizza restaurant. But things are done very differently here, there is a much-needed change of pace at Kelling Heath, which is probably why it is so loved by everyone who has been lucky enough to discover it.
Activities take the form of children’s bug hunts, cycle hire and passing visits to a small sanctuary for red squirrels. There is often live music in the village square, which also plays host to lots of great events throughout the year such as vintage and beer festivals. The site is also a designated Dark Sky area and you just won’t believe the blanket of stars that will unfold above you as night falls. There is so much to do here that many guests never leave the grounds but for those who do the treasures of the Norfolk coastline await, with the beach just two miles away. You will also find yourself within easy reach of the Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich.
