We had a fantastic stay at Riverside Cottage, which is situated within a breathtakingly beautiful valley. Our stay was very peaceful (the campsite was empty and owners away during week) and we were able to enjoy the great walks that surrounded it. The kitchen is quite small, however it has been well facilitated by the owners and there is a bird feeder right outside the window; delightful to watch the various little birds so closely. The living room is spacious, though the sofas are quite small and there are no foot rests, so it was a bit of a squeeze when we had 2 friends stay for a night. The beds were firm, but comfortable with lovely fresh clean bedding. Heating and hot water on demand when needed. There is a co-op in LLanrwst and Betws-y-coed is lovely, both no more than a 10 minute drive, with Snowdon 40 minutes away. Overall, we loved it. There is a magical feel to Riverside Cottage and we were truly bereft on our last day. Looking forward to visiting again in the future. Daisy, Jon & Bertie

This was a very disappointing holiday firstly when we arrived we had a dad smell from kitchen like cat wee lady cleaned it up but next day was still a smell I was asked if it had gone away we are on holiday sow I told lady it was not sow bad but was still smelling . Next was the blinds in room was very dusty and black mold behind it not cleaned for a long time. Cleaners booked after week to clean but weather was very bad and we would have had to go out with two dogs and sit in a car till the cleaners had done the work and my wife was not well sow we cant go out. no space for food cooking trays dirty and sticky two settee not fit to sit on and last thing last day a farmer turns up to tell us going to dig up drive and put pipes in ground just out side gate and to move car down lane to load it was only when my wife got upset with them the farmer change it till next day . I would just like to say wales is a lovely place to have a holiday . George

We decided to have a quiet family Christmas, and do something totally different from everything that we usually do. A little cottage away from everyone, no x box (!!), no big shops, no visitors. If I'm honest, the biggest selling point was that it would be decorated for Christmas. I've never had a real Christmas tree, never had the room to put the presents under the tree either. It was perfect. I have never cooked Christmas dinner on a cooker that small, and we don't have a dining table at home. So to sit at a table to eat Christmas dinner with my husband and 12 year old son, in front of a real tree surrounded by the remains of Christmas wrapping was absolutely the best Christmas ever. The cottage was small, quirky, warm and comfortable. The chickens were friendly. Everything we needed was there. We drove the relatively short distance to the coast each day. We are hoping to book Christmas again this year.

the cottage was lovely, the owner very kind and the location was great as well, fantastic for walking the dog from the cottage. The kitchen was good as well good oven en nice big toaster. The cottage was nice and warm inside and the shower was nice and warm as well, but when your are a tall man, like my husband, it is a bit difficult to get under because the shower is on the slope side ofthe roof. Also nice were the fresh eggs from the farm next door. There were 2 points that were not so fine 1. the sofa's they really need to be replaced they were to far gone and not good for your back to sit on. 2. we were with 4 people and just the 1 toilet is when in need not enough, but we menaged

The reason I would not stay at the cottage in the future is that I have visited most places nearby and would want to stay somewhere new.
