Riverfoot is a fanstic location, the cottage is a comfortable well equipped home from home place. There's plenty of wildlife and nice walks to take really relaxing and we shall be booking again.

We had a lovely holiday at Riverfoot. The cottage was really comfortable and really well equipped. It was also very specious. It was definitely set in a "get away from it all" location which was wonderful but the flip side of that is that the local amenities were some what limited but you can't have it both ways. Those booking this cottage just need to bear that in mind. It is possible to stay at the Riverfoot cottage and bring with you very few provisions however, because the Glenelg Inn which is walking distance away, is a bit of a gastro pub and you could eat heartily there every day of your holiday. All in all the cottage is to be highly recommended and when we stayed we thought that it was very reasonably priced.

Super location ,however patio door was broken and two window locks were broken. No outdoor furniture, windows were filthy and shower was dirty. No radio no docking station and amazing to find no wi fi. House was over cluttered with unnecessary owners belongings. Over priced for an old fashioned home. A little attention could make a bid difference. The house book gave no detail or information to help guests. It is advertised as no dogs yet dog hair was visible in many areas.
