It features open-plan living with water views through two French doors leading out onto the veranda and steps down to the garden and water’s edge. This is a perfect base for relaxing with fishing available in season (licence required). Ideal for bringing your own or hired boat and mooring directly outside or bringing your kayaks and paddleboards. There is a bait fridge at the property.
The village of Brundall lies within the heart of the Norfolk Broads National Park and is the centre for boat building and has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, Chinese and pizza takeaway, fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant and local pubs all serving good food, one just a short stroll away, another up in the village and if you have access to a water vessel, Coldham Hall is just around the corner on the main river.
An ideal touring base, with Great Yarmouth for the beach and family amusements and the fine city of Norwich, just 8 miles away, with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants, inns, cafés, castle and museum both easily accessible by train. The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offer entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages, countryside and Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches are easily explored by car.
For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens.
