Perfect waters edge holiday accommodation, set in a marina at Brundall. This delightful, detached holiday lodge is comfortably furnished throughout with well-equipped, fitted kitchen. River Breeze commands a waterside setting, overlooking the private river basin, leading off the River Yare. Bring your boat, kayaks and paddleboards or hire them (depending on the season - boat hire 6 miles away, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes can be delivered by pre-booking with local company) and venture into The Broads. With our own slipway and quay headed moorings, you can moor right outside of your holiday lodge.
The lawned garden leads directly to the water’s edge. This is a perfect base for relaxing in, with fishing available in season
(licence required). There is a bait fridge at the property. The village of Brundall lies within the heart of the Norfolk Broads National park. It is the centre for boat building and has its own railway station, shop/post office, mini-market, hairdresser, Chinese and Pizza takeaways, fish and chip shop, Indian restaurant and local pubs all serving good food. One pub is just across the river which you will need a water vessel for or drive 30 minutes to Surlingham, another is within a short stroll.
An ideal touring base, with Great Yarmouth for the beach and amusements and the fine city of Norwich with its excellent shopping, theatre, restaurants,
inns, cafés, castle and museum both easily accessible by train, The surrounding seaside towns and villages of Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton, California, Newport and Hopton-on-Sea, all offering entertainment for a family holiday, as well as the pretty Broadland villages, countryside and Norfolk’s fine sandy beaches are easily explored by car.
For fun-filled family days out there is Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens with a renowned collection of Asian mammals including birds; you will also find reptiles in the pleasantly landscaped gardens. Also of interest are the neighbouring villages of Strumpshaw with a steam museum and Strumpshaw Fen RSPB. Reedham offers Pettitts Animal Adventure Park and a riverside pub and BeWilderwood and Pleasurewood Hills are also close by.
