This deceptively spacious detached holiday house has been tastefully renovated to a good standard, with a sunny conservatory, two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor. There is free Wi-fi in the property. There are also USB charger sockets in the main bedroom and the lounge. With Chrome Cast in the lounge, you can stream from your hand-held device. All instructions on how to use this is in the front page of the visitor’s book. The pleasant village is situated within easy walking distance of Derwent Water, with all its watersports, and is only 1.5 miles walk through the fields to the popular Lake District town of Keswick. All around there are views of the mountains, from Skiddaw to Grizedale Pike and Cat Bells, with superb walking and cycling available locally (bike hire in Keswick). Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 75 yards.

We had a great holiday again in Quiet Way, however, i do feel like the kitchen could do with an upgrade. The cooker hood buttons are very awkward to use, there is a sign saying these are on a rocker switch but you still have to stick your fingers in the holes to use. I also feel like there is a need for a tumble dryer as it’s not nice having wet/damp clothes lying around when the towels etc have been washed. But saying that these are only niggles and it has in no way spoilt our holiday at all. The beds are extremely comfy which is a must when you’ve been out walking all day. We were also pleasantly surprised with the new owners of The Farmers Arms, this was a great bonus as we didn’t have to keep walking in to Keswick for a quick pint!!

Very comfortable place to stay- a home from home. Secure back garden for dog and helpful child gate to stop dog exploring. Great base to explore form on foot, by bike or car. Warm, cosy and will definitely return.

Great location with walks from the door. The property is starting to get a bit tired though. Downstairs double bed a bit uncomfortable. No lids for any of the saucepans and cooker hood could do with a clean. Mould in the bathroom around the shower area. Lots of room for parking and really nice small garden which is very secure and dog freindly
