We stayed for a week with our 2 year old twin boys. The house is really lovely and had everything we needed including child gates for the stairs. The decor really makes it feel like a home. There was a really nice welcome basket when we arrived and fresh flowers in the living room. On arrival we found the cot was broken but the owner came round straight away to replace it which was great. The house was spotlessly clean and had great views of Plymouth and mount batton from upstairs. There is also a pub opposite which served home cooked meals and very reasonably priced. In the marina at Mount Batton there is a restaurant called The Bridge which was also very good. Only a few negative points: car parking is in the village car park which is free but spaces were very limited especially evenings and at the weekend. There was a large shipping berth near to the house and when there was a ship in port it was quite noisy. If you want golden sandy beaches it's quite a drive (about 45 mins) to bigbury-on-sea but it's well worth a visit! Except for a day in Plymouth visiting the aquarium there was limited attractions close by for young children. If you do visit Plymouth you can walk to Mount Batton and get a ferry which only takes a few minutes to cross the estuary. It's recommended as then you won't lose your parking space in the village and also you won't need to worry about parking in Plymouth which is also difficult and expensive. The aquarium is excellent and well worth a visit our boys loved it.

Beautifully clean, tidy and well-equipped cottage. Just right for a reunion of friends who all used to live in Plymouth 30 years ago.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Everything was ready for us on the day that we arrived. It was perfect for our party of six.
