On the edge of the Galloway dark sky park it is also the perfect place for star gazing. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the many walking and cycling routes in the vicinity, both countryside and coast. Galloway forest park being in easy reach. For keen golfers, several excellent courses are within easy reach, including those in Girvan, Troon and Turnberry, offering challenging play with stunning coastal backdrops.
For those wanting to fish permits are available for the River Stinchar literally on the doorstep or sea fishing can be arranged departing from Girvan.
