Great pub 100 yards away. Play park 10 yards away. Walks right from the door. Absolutely perfect for young families. Clean, cosy, quaint and very well equipped apart from lack of wifi.

A very cosy cottage with good facilities. There is convenient off road parking. The cottage is located close to so many attractions. It is also a good spot for many walks around the area.

Quaint little cottage complete with many original features. Well equipped kitchen with virtually all we needed for our 4 night stay - could just do with a small pyrex bowl or jug to heat beans etc as we didn't want to stain the plastic one. We travelled with a 3 year old so took our own plastic eating utensils and plates for her. Stylishly decorated comfy beds and ample cupboard/drawer space to store clothes etc. Beautiful bathroom with lovely roll top bath, separate rain shower and plenty hot water. Sofas were very squashy - just the thing to relax on after a long day out! Both front and back door are stable doors which was nice to let fresh air in without letting my granddaughter out. Several uneven steps...but part of the charm of an old cottage. Pretty garden to relax in, space for parking the car on a driveway and super park just across the road...perfect for eating picnic tea or enjoying morning coffee whilst the little one played and ran around to her heart's content. All in all we had a wonderful break and I would definitely stay again.

A beautifully presented cottage, very clean, welcoming, cosy and comfortable. The cottage provided everything and more needed whilst on holiday. We’ll definately be returning soon 10/10.

Absolutely lovely short break in this wonderful cottage. Perfect location for beautiful strolls from the front door or as a base for the wider Peak District. Really friendly local pub just a few yards walk away with great food also has wifi for when you need to catch up with the world. The cottage has a great character with good sized rooms and has been updated to a really good standard. Comfortable living room, good sized kitchen, good bedroom space and sumptuous bath. Really enjoyable stay in this lovely cottage

What a gem of a cottage! Everything you could need is here, a park opposite for the kids to play in, pub at the end of the road and surrounded by amazing scenery! Pauline was great, providing tips on things to do before we arrived and the welcome chocs and fresh flowers were a lovely touch. Would highly recommend this to any couple or young family as a perfect base to explore this beautiful part of the UK. Thank you Pauline, we will definitely be coming back!

Very comfortable cottage, suitable for the younger element, as there are many different floor levels inside but plenty of character and everything you made need for an excellent holiday private parking a bonus.

This was our second week at Post Office Cottage and again we found it very comfortable and well equipped. We liked the welcome flowers and chocolates. The pub down the road serves good meals and beer.

We have stayed in over 15 cottages in the Peak district and this was by far the best, the kids loved the park just over the road and the owners personal touches were extremely thoughtful, loved the place and the only cottage were we may go again.
