The surrounding area is rich in wildlife, with herons and kingfishers frequently spotted. Brundall, located on the southern rivers of the Norfolk Broads National Park, is a popular destination for sailing and motorboats. You can rent a day boat, kayak, or dinghy (booking is recommended during the peak summer season) to explore the miles of scenic inland waterways at your own pace. There are plenty of waterside eateries and picnic spots nearby, including two local pubs, a marina café/restaurant, and a railway station offering easy access to Norwich City and the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth.
The village centre of Brundall, just 1 mile away, offers a mini supermarket, post office, doctors, hairdresser, beautician, an Indian restaurant, and another local pub serving delicious food. Norwich, only a 30-minute drive away, is perfect for shopping, with two indoor malls, a market square, cafés, a theatre, a cinema, bowling complexes, a cathedral, and a castle museum.
For nature lovers, the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen is just a 6-minute drive away, while Norfolk’s finest sandy beaches, backed by dunes, are just 15 miles away. Nearby seaside resorts such as Great Yarmouth, Gorleston-on-Sea, Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea, Winterton-on-Sea, California, and Hopton-on-Sea offer plenty of entertainment. With a mini supermarket 1 mile away and the pub and marina café/restaurant just 350 yards from the property, everything you need is within easy reach.
